Suggestions to help locate math activities for the classroom
• Browse the Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) in Hale Library (Room 306)
Most math activities books will be in the QA range of call numbers.
• Search the CMC using the library catalog:
Use the Guided Keyword search section of the catalog.
Use the Guided Keyword search section of the catalog.
Use the LIMIT feature to limit your search LOCATION to Curriculum Materials Center.
Enter the word mathematics (as a phrase anywhere) in the first box, and the word activities (as a phrase anywhere) in the second box.
OR
Do a subject heading search on Mathematics–study and teaching (elementary). (This search will not be limited to the CMC.)
• Browse appropriate journals such as:
Teaching Children Mathematics
The Mathematics Teacher
Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School
All journals are located on the first floor and are filed alphabetically by title.
Browse appropriate web sites.
